There is so much B E A U T Y goodness coming out at the moment in the lead-up to Christmas that I’m struggling to keep up with it all. I wanted to show you a handpicked bunch of my favourite things that are either launching soon or have come out lately onto those shelves. I don’t know about you but this, right now, is my favourite time of year. It’s getting colder, mornings are crisp, the night is drawing in a little earlier, leaves are falling and grey knitwear is again acceptable. YAY.

First up is some impressive makeup newness starting with the *new* Dermalogica sheer tints which launched earlier this month. These are a really lightweight and super natural tinted moisturiser type product. These give a really subtle wash of colour and coverage so don’t expect a foundation-type coverage…this is your daytime, no-makeup-makeup look ; school runs, post-gym, supermarket runs and if you are a lucky bugger and just have gorgeous skin and don’t need much cover. The texture and feel is super luxurious and skincare-like which is why I have fallen for these skin tints. Absolute winner for the makeup kit too as boys are loving them!
B.Makeup (@ Superdrug) recently launched these portfolios of colour including the ‘Pro Face Kit’ which encases everything you need to get a natural flawless base from one kit. It contains your foundation (cream compact), concealer, pressed powder and highlighter. Absolutely gorgeous, natural finish and the quality of this high street makeup brand is up there with the best. They do 4 different shades of these palettes, I am wearing a medium.
More makeup with the gorgeous #FaceTheDay colour palette from Collection. I saw this recently at a press day and this really stood out as a product that not only has beautiful, wearable colours that appeal to myself, but I can imagine that most people will like this. Quite NARS-esque in the colours, it has a highlighter, blusher, bronzer and 4 shimmering neutral and brown eyeshadows. This launches exclusively in Boots on the 14th October and will cost £5.99. Be quick, as I think this is going to be a sell-out.

Loads of skincare has caught my eye….my pile of ‘next thing to try’ is getting pretty high with some items being barged out of the way in favour for these. One thing I have already been using for a few weeks now and really genuinely loving is the Erborian Cleansing Creme Aux Herbes This looks like a gel when you first squeeze it out the tube, then once you massage over your face (including eyes) and add warm water, it turns into a milk and melts all your makeup and worries away.* Not only does the effectiveness of this cleanser give it a big thumbs up, but also the small, travel-friendly squeezy 50ml tube. There is literally NO good cleansers out there which come less than 100ml that I have found.
*I cannot guarantee it will melt all your worries away
Another balmy cleanser that is brand new is the Trilogy ‘Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm’. This is a rich, luxurious thicker balm (similar to Emma Hardy/Eve Lom etc) that is made from natural coconut, mango butter and rosehip oils. Smells aromatic as you can imagine and removes all makeup and leaves the skin soft and nourished.
Avene are bringing out a new PM treatment called TriAcneal EXPERT which designed to clear, calm and help an acne/blemished skin with a touch of anti-ageing thrown in. I think we all know that it isn’t just the teens who are suffering with acne nowadays so this is designed with an adult skin in mind. Not only does it target blemishes but it also helps with the marks they leave behind with a gentle exfoliating enzyme. This will be available from October priced at £23.
This Works can do no wrong in my eyes. I have loved everything I have tried from this straight-to-the-point skincare range. Tackles the problems that we all have and…..works. Their latest range is called ‘Light Time‘ and is all about improving and plumping up post-sleep skin. Restless nights can leave the skin puffy, drawn and lined and This Works have a skin-plumping face cream and the Light Time Open Eyes to help you get back on your feet and good-to-go if your sleep/lack of hasn’t been helping the face so much. This eye cream is a daily treatment to re-fresh, de-puff, detoxify and brighten tired eyes. I have been using this daily and it is a dream! It has a metal applicator tip which is super cooling when you apply and will also help ‘massage’ the eye area and help with the circulation.
Last up from my favourite new beauty launches is the Roger & Gallet Creme Sublime hand cream. I threw this in my hand luggage when I went to St Tropez (snarf) a few weeks ago…the small 30ml tube is a perfect travel companion and it just smells delicious. SPF15 to give your claws a touch of protection and shea butter and argan oil nourish, soothe and protect the hands. Have nearly used this up already and for £6 is won’t be a bank-breaking replacement.
Are any of these products catching your eye? What new bits have you tried lately ?
