Cover and Heal : The Proactiv+ Repairing Concealer.

I love a product that kills 2 birds with one stone and that’s exactly what the Proactiv+ Repairing Concealer does : hides those pesky blemishes and marks, all whilst helping heal and treat the skin.

We’ve all been there: that vicious cycle of having a bad skin day/week/month and so what do we do?.. Apply more makeup to cover it all up, which can sometimes just make everything a whole lot worse. Your skin feels more dirty and greasy, blemishes get worse and more painful but you don’t want to go out not feeling comfortable in your skin. That’s why an anti-bacterial and anti-blemish concealer can make all of the difference. The Proactiv+ Repairing Concealer contains blemish-busting salicylic acid as a key ingredient, and it won’t clog your pores.

It comes in a handy-to-use compact with accompanying brush that makes it quick, easy and most importantly…hygienic to apply! There are 4 shades within that you can custom blend and the formula is really creamy so it’s very easy to blend out and build up where you need. I have scarring on my lower cheeks and redness, then a little bit of dark circles under my eye, and the odd spot on my chin so I use the peachier tones under my eye to colour correct and a mixture of the others to make it blend seamlessly in with my skin tone. A lot of these concealers that are specifically for blemishes are very dry and not suitable for the under eye area but this formula is perfect for both under the eyes and the face as it has a slightly creamy (but not overly so) consistency. The key ingredient salicylic acid is not too strong so it won’t irritate around the eyes or if you have sensitive skin, and it also contains skin-soothing and moisturising ingredients.

In the above photo, I have no makeup on my skin > then just a touch of BB cream & the Proactiv+ Repairing Concealer swipe on strategically > then blended in. This takes all of about 2 minutes to do a full base, and I find it perfect for when you don’t want a really heavy finish but want your skin to look clear. For evenings, I swap up the BB cream for a fuller coverage foundation.
