Makeup Crush Monday #13 | Erborian HD CC cream

The Eborian HD CC cream (also know by the longer tongue-twisting name of the CC Creme High definition radiance face cream) is the best CC cream that is out there, hands down ; In my humble opinion. I have used it since it launched a couple of years ago in the UK and if you want minimal fuss-free coverage that hides the sins and also boosts your skin’s defence then this could also be for you.

It is one of the creams that appears white, but once blended the pigments ‘burst’ and then you will see a transition in colour that will adjust to your skintone. There are a few creams I have used which have this white-beige colour change such as the Origins Vitazing & Garnier miracle cream. The Erborian CC just works with my skintone really well although I must say this won’t adapt to all tones (le sigh) as no cream can no matter what they say. Very pale/porcelain’s will not be using this until the summer and I would say you are ok with this product if you are anywhere between a MAC NC/W 20 to maybe a 40, which DOES cover a good deal of skin tones but not all.

The finish is very radiant and it leaves my skin looking and feeling very fresh. Dull skin? Dehydrated? You will love it. This isn’t enough coverage for my skin for an evening, but it’s fine for daytime although I still need touched of concealer in the odd areas. Also can be great to use under makeup as a first ‘healthy’ step and to give you a bit of warmth to the skin as it is quite a golden beige tone. This is a spring/summer skin must-have as the SPF45 (** Just noticed the one I have is in fact an SPF25 although the first one I had was a 45, and all the ones I can see on UK websites are still SPF45 – not sure if this is a new one they are bringing out??) will also keep the skin protected from those harmful rays, although this IS NOT going to see you through a full day of protection ; so not a beach SPF. Also contains Centella Asiatica as an anti-ageing ingredient and vitamin B3.

The Erborian HD CC cream costs £36 (45ml) and is available from Space NK & Selfridges What’s your preferred ‘Alphabet’ cream??
