Just landed : The Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum.
This has launched this week so I wanted to tell you all the details about it. Antipodes is one of my favourite skincare ranges and I use a lot of their products in my day-to-day routine. It’s a brand I have dipped in and out of for around 6 years now and I’m always excited and intrigued when they launch something new.

The Antipodes Glow Ritual Serum is a light-wear gel serum for a luminous, dewy complexion. The 100% natural origin formula offers instant radiance and defends skin against the signs of early aging. It’s a daily serum, formulated for all skin types and also has a luminous, golden hue to also add instant glow and radiance to the skin.
In terms of Antipodes serums, I am a fan of the Hosanna Skin-Plumping Serum. I have used this a lot over the years and it’s just a really lovely all-rounder…an easy serum to reach for! I have not extensively tried the Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C serum, so it’s not my review and results, it’s simply the information I have about it, after attending a really informative zoom launch event and my first impressions!

Firstly let’s chat a little bit about the wonder ingredient Vitamin C, why so many brands love it and what benefits it will bring to your skincare!
What is good about a Vitamin C Serum?
The benefit of vitamin C is it’s an antioxidant, so it helps prevent the forming of free radicals, which go on to break down collagen and elastin. Vitamin C is also naturally present in the skin, where it helps promote collagen and antioxidant levels, and protects the skin against UV-ray-induced photo-damage.
Simply eating more oranges isn’t going to give you all the Vitamin C you need….that’s because the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin, doesn’t have blood vessels to send nutrients to the skin cells. Vitamin C can, however, be applied topically…and that’s where vitamin C serums come in. Vitamin C is best known for its ability to neutralize free radicals and improve the skin’s condition, it can also improve collagen and elastin synthesis, which can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps reduce inflammation, provides natural, mild exfoliation; and brighten skin. Vitamin C is often used to help with hyperpigmentation, sun damage and age spots.

Key ingredients include Vitamin C-rich Kakadu plum, Vinanza® Grape & Kiwi to address pigmentation, help brighten skin, and protect against oxidative stress. As I have discussed above, Vitamin C helps protect, illuminate, and boost collagen for skin that looks radiant and clear. Kakadu plum contains up to 100x the Vitamin C of oranges helping to boost collagen, illuminate, and protect from free radical damage.
It also contains Bakuchiol, *that* ingredient everyone seems to be talking about at the moment….which is a gentle and natural retinol alternative. Bakuchiol encourages smoother, firmer looking skin while plant-based hyaluronic acid boosts moisture for a plumped visage.
The texture of this is lovely and silky and it absorbs into the skin really well. It also has that gorgeous golden hue which gives you that instant radiance and glow. It’s a brilliant AM serum and it really makes skin feel gorgeous, plump and bright!
