Last Minute Christmas Gifts : For the Beauty Junkie

…Your skin-savvy pal who always knows *THE* facialist of the moment, has the newest skincare brand on her bathroom shelfie, wants to be kept in the loop about all the newest launches and invests A LOT of her hard-earned money on her beauty regime from top-to-toe. We all have a friend like that : so here are a few gift ideas to satisfy the most discerning of beauty lovers.

Let’s start off with a couple of the must-have sets of the season : obviously we cannot avoid Drunk Elephant..possibly the most-talked about and most highly anticipated skincare launch in the UK this year. It’s ahem….pretty pricey, but the Drunk Elephant Littlies Kit (£71) allows you to try all of the best-sellers in a travel size before splurging the ca$h. Another amazing skincare set, and they ALWAYS do unbelievable savings in their Christmas sets is the Gatineau DefiLift 3D Firming Christmas Collection. This has face, eyes and lips all covered and you save an amazing £103 with this set. If firming and lifting isn’t for the receiver they do plenty of other money-saving sets so do check our their website.

A mask is always a great gift as it’s a pamper treat and everyone needs a little ‘me’ time once in a while. The best at the moment? The Algenist Alive prebiotic mask is an absolute WIN for the party season. This colour changing (green > pink) creamy clay mask detoxifies, balances and brightens the skin and is a great price at £38. For a more dry, dehydrated skin then the Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask will work for all skin types including sensitive and will gently but surely, infuse the skin with hydration leaving it looking bright, supple and plump (Psssst it actually smells like chocolate too). A slightly more purse-friendly mask-come moisturiser-come makeup primer comes in the form of the PIXI Rose Flash Balm : A favourite of mine for some time for skin prep. It is a multi-purpose cream that can be used for all of the above, and I love it for when my skin is a bit crappy, but I have zero pamper time ; slather some on your skin 5 minutes before you apply makeup and it should fake fresh skin in a flash!

A new hair brush that has recently launched is the Hair Secretz Hair Podz Diamond Brush (that pretty pink thing with the fetch Swarovski crystal). This is a handbag-friendly and insta-friendly hair brush that is a detangler AND it open up to reveal a mirror for on-the-go touch ups and *jujj’s*. If pink’s not your thing they do other colours too.

Lash Love for the person who has every mascara? Then step outside the box and gift a Rapidlash Eyelash Enhancinhg Serum (£41). A super serum treatment for the lashes that is clinically proven to help lashes grow longer and thicker and is even suitable for contact lens wearers. The Foreo LUNA cleansing device is insanely good, works on all skintypes, enhances any skin regime AND it comes in a variety of shades. It’s quite a punchy gift but will be extremely well-received gift by ANY beauty lover plus you can opt for the smaller ‘play’ which is only £39.

Another beauty accessory that has been much-talked about in 2018 is *that* jade roller. Everyone seems to have them right?! Why?…when massaged on the face they help stimulate lymphatic drainage, firms the skin, eliminates toxins and eases tension. Jade is naturally cooling so will also de-puff  and tone the delicate eye area. The best I have tried is the Gatineau White Jade Face Roller which is a reasonable £18.

Herbivore was another big launch in 2018 and their beautifully packaged and looking products have definitely helped them become an insta-hit. Which isn’t the reason a skincare brand should do well by any means… but the product within is also really good. Their Lapis facial oil (£60)is gorgeous and my go-to at the moment for a PM treat ; anyone with similarly combination to oily skin will love this as a skincare addition.

So there we have a nice lil’ selection of beauty hits that will hopefully put a smile on the beauty lover’s face. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these?
