There is a LOT of new launches that are out and coming out over the next few weeks. Ahhhhh those seasonal collections, the Spring-Summer launches and colours, the new fake tans….all the beauty accessories to launch us forcibly into April, May and June. We see more brightening skincare, SPF-based skincare, innovative lightweight formulas, brighter and fresher makeup shades and zestier scents.
I have been sent a bunch of new beauty over the last few weeks, and some of this IS new/ coming out soon, but other things are simply products that are new TO ME. No full reviews yet, just a-coming-soon.
Skincare-wise, Omorovicza have a couple of new products, one being the skin brightening Acid Fix which is a PM treatment that utilises multi-acids to resurface, brighten and plump the skin. This treat is particular good for oily, combinations & normal skin types and perfect to kickstart the skin into good behaviour after a dull and cold winter. Another product I am really loving is the Omorovicza Magic Moisture Mist which is something that I have nothing similar to, nor seen before. This is a liquid moisturiser that can quite literally be used as a moisturiser (albeit only on an oily skin/ if you want light hydration) and it can also be used to layer and boost your existing skincare regime AND to add touch-free moisture to your skin throughout the day. Your perfect spring > summer handbag companion.
I popped into the Superdrug vegan pop-up shop in Boxpark, Shoreditch a couple of weeks ago and picked up a couple of bits that I am currently trying out : The infamous B. Pure Micellar Water which I have used many, MANY years ago but believe it’s been re-formulated since then (& I have a handy weeny travel-size) and then the vegan Superdrug Coconut Face mask which is a nourishing, creamy face treat which to be honest, I purchased just because of the smell.
I also have my mitts on the newly packaged Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil ; I don’t *believe* this popular formula has changes but the packaging has been updated and it’s now in a slightly bigger 150ml size as opposed to 100ml. Kinda wondering why they have done this as I think many customers liked the fact it was travel-friendly?! I’ve actually never tried this so I will report back.
Last up in my new skincare stash is the Erborian Matte Creme : a 5-in-1 skin mattifying balm that smooths the texture of the skin, reduces the appearance of shine, minimises the appearance of pores and prepares the skin for makeup application. I will be using this A LOT coming into summer.
Now onto the COLOUR and all the glorious MAKEUP. The eye-popping Kevyn Aucoin Electropop eyeshadow palette has been out for some months now but I am yet to properly get stuck into this flurry of bright, bold and beautifully pigmented shades. Bareminerals have some new cheek colour in the form of the Gen Nude Powder Blushers. 12 shades of natural blush shades that will give ALL skin tones their natural, perfect flush. A blurring, mineral powder formula. Helping my brows out this month will be The Brow Gal Skinny Eyebrow Pencil. The Brow Gal is a new brow range created by ‘brow guru’ Tanya Brooks and I am really excited to try some of her products.
BRAND NEW from Urban Decay are the Hi-Fi Ultra Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Glosses. 20 shades of high-moisture, plumping lip glosses infused with peppermint and vanilla ; with shades ranging from the bold to the super nudes and different finishes depending on your preference.
I have a whole bunch of exciting makeup to try from PIXI. A review will be up tomorrow-ish for the wonderful #PixiPretties Influencer collaboration which are all SUPER PRETTY and I have also been trying out their Large Lash Mascara for the first time along with the Endless Silky Eye Pencils which are no joke, possibly my new favourite eyeliners EVER. The Cobalt Blue shade is SO BAM.
Body & Fragrance : Obvs we already ALL know about the Jo Loves range which launched with a bang earlier this year into Space NK. It’s Jo Malone’s new and more personal range of scents, lotions, bath & candles. Pomelo is her new signature and it is legit THE most wonderful spring-summer scent that incorporates fresh grapefruit and vetiver to leave you dreaming of white sandy beaches, fresh white linen and balmy, hazy evenings. Commodity is a fragrance brand that you will be hearing A LOT about soon. It’s just about to launch into the UK after a successful launch into US Sephora a few years ago and has become one of their most popular fragrance lines. It’s unisex, the packaging it clean and simple, the scents are interesting, the ingredients are ethically sourced and GOLD is my new bae. Byredo watch yo’ backs.
Last but not least is the wonderful Tan Luxe Instant Hero Skin Perfector. I’ve been describing this as a fancy Sally Hansen leg spray : remember those?! Are they STILL around?! This is a similar (but more evolved) concept that is an all over body-blurring tinted cream that gives you instant colour, covers imperfections, smooths the skin and reduces redness.
