Instant Radiance : A PIXI Glow @ Home Facial.

PIXI beauty are absolutely smashing it at the moment and with every product I am trying from them I am falling more in love with this brand. I only dipped my toe into PIXI after I went along to the fabulous Caroline Hiron’s cleanser launch earlier this year and after demolishing two pots of that in succession I have slowly been trying more & more, including *that* infamous Glow Tonic, and more recently more of their skincare offerings.

One thing I have noticed PIXI skincare is really good for ; is to make the skin GLOW. Like…..really glow. When my skin is feeling dull, lacklustre and a little bland and I need a quick fix for an event or something important, I have been giving myself a mini @ home PIXI glow facial and here’s how it’s done :

Step 1 : CLEANSE Whether you are doing your mini facial in the AM or PM, still make sure you cleanse your skin to rid your face of any grime, SPF and excess oil. If you decide to do it in the PM, maybe opt for the double-step Caroline Hirons PIXI cleanser as that is a deeper cleanse to remove makeup/ eye makeup and daily grime. In the AM I am loving the Glow Mud cleanser to lightly refresh & purify, this is great for an oily-combo skin FYI!

Step 2 : PEEL & POLISH The main event… I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! This is an intense enzyme peel that gives salon-like results from the comfort of your home. It contains fruit enzymes to gently loosen dead skin cells and Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate. Apply it onto cleansed, dry skin and massage it on, then leave it to activate and get to work for at least 5 minutes and then remove it with a cleansing cloth. Your skin will be baby soft and *pore-less*!

Step 3 : GLOW TONIC : Lotion OR Pads – not both! At the moment I am loving the pre-soaked Glow Tonic To-Go pads because of the ease. Literally swipe across your face, avoiding the delicate eye area, not need to rinse, and carry on with your usual skincare regime. Both the Glow tonic and To-go pads have the same results/ingredients : resurfacing and brightening the skin by removing dead skin cells. The glow tonic contains 5% Glycolic Acid which exfoliates, Ginseng to energise & Aloe Vera to soothe and calm.

Step 4: Your Serum/Moisturiser Of choice. Possibly avoid anything too active, I like to keep it to my calming and soothing moisturisers after a really active and acid-based facial and always opt for an SPF in the daytime to keep your skin protected.

I do this brightening facial maybe once a fortnight at the moment, or just when I feel my skin needs a real boost, and every time I have done this routine my skin is absolutely glowing!
