GOSH is a great high street brand that has that perfect balance of good quality and affordability. It’s not super budget, yet it’s still not a bank breaker. The GOSH Spring Summer ’16 collection has just hot the shelves (10th Feb) and I was lucky to go along to the preview and check out the new products, so have a little look at what you can expect and a few products that stood out from the bunch.
New products coming out include a new illuminating primer, x4 new matte lipstick shades, x4 lip oils glosses, x 3 skin liquid illuminators, 1 x new mascara, 1 x eyeshadow palette and x 5 matte eyeshadow pencils.
The Lumi Drops are liquid illuminators/highlighters, very similar to the NARS illuminators if you have tried those. These come in a small plastic bottle and are easy to squeeze out from the nib onto the hands/face. They can be mixed in with your foundation/primer or be used over the top in small amounts to highlight. There are x3 shades – one pale pink/silver (think high beam), one bronze (think laguna illuminator) and this one which I have the 004 Peach which is a coral/gold, not dissimilar to orgasm. These are very subtle highlighters, not overly shimmery and absolutely no glitter, so are great of you like a subtle glow.
The most talked-about product which you have no doubt read about somewhere or seen on instagram are the Lip oils. These are sheer, oil-based glosses that give a tint of colour and lots of hydration and shine. Ingredients include argan oil, macadamia oil, raspberry oil & moringa so they are almost more skincare than makeup. The colours look a lot brighter in the tube than they come out so fear not, they will just enhance and give a very soft colour. A budget-friendly dupe of the much-loved Clarins lip oils that came out last year.
The GOSH Matt shadow collection ‘004 Too Cool to be in Copenhagen’ is an absolutely gorgeous eyeshadow palette and the colours are quite muted so I think this will be very popular. 9 neutral tones, including browns, nudes & greys, I think this is actually the best combination of colours I have seen in one of these GOSH shadow palettes. The payoff is good and the shadow textures are nice and soft, blendable.
I think my favourite of the bunch has to be the Forever Eyeshadow Matt eyeshadow sticks. These are wonderfully creamy, soft and easy to blend. Once they have dried in around 30 seconds they are not going anywhere. A longwear and waterproof formula and these 5 new shades are all matte….which actually, I love even more than the original cream eyeshadows. The two shades I have are actually probably my favourite from the collection ; 11 Dark Brown & 10 twisted brown. Both colours I think are super wearable and I have been wearing the dark brown shade on the regs. Highly recommend these.
Is there anything here that you like the look/sound of?
