If you are looking for the BEST shampoo and conditioner for bleached blonde hair, then I may have just come across it. Want that cool colour, need that brassy tone softening, after that purple shampoo and conditioner of dreams? Then keep a’ reading.
The Fudge Clean Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner are a relatively new duo from the brilliant haircare range and I was lucky enough to be sent both to try out during my lockdown bleach blonde phase.
I was only blonde for a hot minute (it was 3 weeks) but I bleached my hair @ home (do not recommend) and I tend to go VERY warm/orange when my hair is bleached, even with a cool toner. Purple shampoo and conditioner are my best friends when I am blonde and I have tried, I would estimate, about 12 different brands over the years. This duo from Fudge haircare? It’s the best.
I have to really maintain and keep on top of the brassiness after bleaching and I wanted to get a really cool blonde tone as my base colour before I threw on the bright pastel which I have now. It seems a bit non-sensical to spend weeks getting a perfect cool blonde tone to then go peach-pink BUT these pastel colours wash out very quickly. When I want to wash the colour out I will have a nice cool blonde shade to look forward to.
Both the shampoo and conditioner contain something a little fancy pants called Opti-Plex technology which is specifically for repairing hair that has been bleached to help restore it back to it’s ‘virgin’ state.
The Fudge Clean Blonde Damage Rewind Shampoo (£14) is quite a densely coloured violet tone and you apply it into your hair and then leave it for a few minutes for that colour to really grab onto the brassy tines in your hair. It smells really nice and it leaves bleached/damaged hair feeling nice and washed without the super squeakiness or hardness on your hair. It’s cleanses hair perfectly, refreshes and leaves hair looking and feeling healthy.
The Fudge Clean Blonde Damage Rewind Conditioner (£15) has a touch of purple tint and a LOAD of great hydrating and repairing ingredients to ensure your hair is left cool in tone and really nourished and treated. I have fine hair so really oily and dense conditioners weigh it down a lot but this had that nice balance of a deep treatment without weighing my hair down.
A big thing I noticed about the shampoo and conditioner is how the smell REALLY stays in your hair after you have washed the products out which I really liked.
I love the fact that these address the brassiness of bleached hair AND act as a repairing treatment for bleached hair. Blonde babes : Get involved! This is possibly the best shampoo and conditioner duo I have ever used for bleached blonde hair…and I’ve tried so, so many.
