I’ve had an unintentional blog break over the last couple of weeks so am a little behind on my reviews…You would have probably seen this month’s Birchbox beauty box* and contents way back when but as this has been literally my FAVOURITE ONE EVER I really wanted to feature it & show it off if you haven’t seen it already.
First up it’s a fabulous collaboration with one of my favourite fashion mags, Tatler…yay. Second up it’s a best of British selection and I am all for the local brands and feeling a bit patriotic OI oiiiiiiiiii. Third up (is that even a saying?!)..it’s just filled with products and brands that I personally really like and for once, I will actually use all of the samples. HOO-RAY.
Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Cream (40ml)
I already have this : Anything & everything I have tried from Aromatherapy Associates has been gorgeous, luxury, soothing and effective and this body cream is very nourishing for the driest of skins. Contains Shea butter, rose oils and evening primrose. Apply it and imagine you are in a spa……
Bamford Geranium Hand & Body Wash (50ml)
I only recently discovered this brand as I was staying at my friend’s house in the Cotwolds (where this brand is from) and she had it in her guest bathroom. I tried this body wash and the shampoo/ conditoner which are all great ; they look very simple and unisex and are strong-smelling and aromatic – I guess not too dissimilar to Aesop or even aromatherapy associates.
Ciate London Paint Pot (full-size)
I got the shade ‘Maybe Baby’ which is a lovely taupey nude. It is actually the first Ciate polish I have ever had so I am really looking forward to trying this out.
Dr Jackson’s Natural Products Face oil (full size)
Just the fact that these skincare products are bottled and packaged on Dr Jackson’s farm in Somerset makes me like the brand before I have even tried it. With it’s simple and fuss-free packaging, this 100% natural oil is jam-packed of skin-loving oils including Baobab, Marula, Calendula & Rosehip. Ideal for skin that needs a radiance and hydration boost.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish + Cloth (50ml)
A cult favourite and a cleanser that I already use and love, this travel-size is a welcome addition to my cleansing collection and a great 2 week trial-size for those who have never indulged in the Liz Earle cleansing method before : leaves your skin beautifully and deeply cleansed in the PM.
Percy & Reed Dry Instant Volumising spray (full size)
I have a LOT of Percy & Reed styling products and have used the original dry shampoo since the day it launched and always have one somewhere in the house or in my handbag. Am looking forward to trying this volumsing dry shampoo which actually may be better suited to me.
If this delightful box of goodies hasn’t swayed you into subscribing to Birchbox, I don’t know what will : Monthly boxes cost just £12.95 (that includes P&P) and the goodies inside are often worth quadruple this…I roughly worked it out and this box is way over £70 (!!)
